The PDF SDK/ActiveX Plug-In (included in the Document Imaging SDK/ActiveX) enables the conversion from different image formats to the popular PDF (Adobe Portable Document Format) file format. Using the PDF SDK/ActiveX Plug-in, any color or monochrome image type supported by the Black Ice imaging toolkits can be converted into PDF format. The current release includes 1-bit, 8-bit color, 8-bit grayscale and 24-bit color support.
PDF Write/Generation
The PDF SDK/ActiveX Plug-In enables the conversion of any image formatssupported by the Document Imaging SDK/ActiveX into the popular PDF (Adobe Portable Document Format) file format. Using the PDF SDK/ActiveX Plug-in, any color or monochrome image type supported by the Black Ice imaging toolkits can be converted into PDF format. Generated PDF files can be compressed using a variety of availalbe compression methods, and can be single or multi-page.
PDF Read/Display
Application developers can create and display PDF files within their own applications using the PDF SDK/ActiveX Plug-In. The PDF SDK/ActiveX plug-in can display and decode PDF files such as those created with the PDF SDK/ActiveX plug-in or any of the Black Ice PDF Printer Drivers. Developers can recall specific pages from a multi page PDF file for display.

Multiple compression methods supported

No compression, the image is embedded inside the file without any compression.
